  1. I hate these. How can you call this 'art'? Gross and distasteful. You should be ashamed.

  7. art should be a form of expression.. all this expresses is animal cruelty witch is illegal in many pieces of legislation. this is not how you would treat a model, yet they are art in photography. this is a disgrace.

  8. Wow...so this is what the world has come to, where some people find an animal carcass a work of art...i get killing animals to eat...but horses?0_o, we dont eat horses...I perfer them alive instead of dead to help some sick person make so called "art".

  9. This is such good 'art' (sarcasm). Using animal carcasses is NOT art, get that in your head please!
Now do us all a favor, take these down and disappear from the face of Earth before I bring up my dinner

  10. What a sad world we live in if this is what some people call art. I'm a equine artist myself and I would never, ever, see this as art :-(

  11. Kim May 23, 2013 This is not art. This is a demented form of taxidermy. How sad for you to try to create art with shock value. Tsk Tsk.

  12. I don't think that any of the posts above are correct. Of course horse skin can be art! And I find it very unlikely that the artist killed these horses so that she could create with them. If anything she has a great respect and appreciation for the horse.

  13. Before you comment anymore with senseless accusations you should inform yourself about the artist's point of view about what she does and how she explains it. You'll see that she has great respect for this animal and implementing its skin in art as a sort of "container of the soul" is very poetic in my opinion. As a general thing, really, you should dwelve into the artist's point of view before commenting with hateful words, no matter how gross you might find the artwork. In most cases, the grossest the artwork is the more educational it is, take the Viennese actionism as an example.
